Apple iOS has a function where with a long press on an application you can select additional login requirements- Face ID to open the SMS app for example.
I suppose this has been introduced with iOS 18, yes?
Haven't upgraded yet, but would like to know - with this feature enabled, do you literally have to close, say, the messages app every time single time after you used it, for this to work / so it asks for authentification next time?
No, it’s pretty good- the second you move away from the app it requires you to re-authenticate to open it again. However that is usually seamless as you are looking at the phone.
My issue with it though, is you cant see the message previews you if you want to screen messages you are right in at the deep end opening it which is annoying as I think its a great feature apart from that.
