  • I’ve got a carbon cx fork and a pair of PDW fenders. The fork has a crown hole for fenders, I know it’s going to be pot luck on finding a bolt which is going to fit but I’m not even sure what the bolt is called to google it, any ideas what I need to be looking for?

Also the frame has a bolt hole in the under side of the brake bridge for attaching the fender, any idea what type of bolt I need for this ? Hopefully someone low profile for tire clearance

  • A pair of M5 cap head bolts will get you sorted. Measure the approximate length you need and you can buy either a whole pack (cheaper) or cherry-pick sizes from somewhere like Accu (spenny but better quality). Stainless is ideal.

My rear guard fits a bit like you describe, so I use a spacer (also from Accu) to make up the gap, and a small leather washer provided with my VO guards to dampen any vibrations. A little bit of rubber or bar tape should also work.

  • woow, Accu looks like an amazing resource, if you know what you looking for.

Thankfully I've got lots of M5 stem cap bolts in the parts bin and one of those has married perfectly with the female nut off an old rim brake which will do just the job, thanks for the idea.

for the rear fender I'm sure sure I have some mushroom headed bolt cage bolts that will work and hopefully I wont need any spacer as I think I'm going to need more clearance rather than less.
