It wasn’t in here that it got posted before but I can’t remember where it was and this seems like the most appropriate place, there’s a new Kasso out.

Kasso is great - can always rely on the Japanese game show producers to make a random idea really entertaining!
In other skateboard news, another new park recently appeared 5 minutes down the road - decent size for a change, shame the weather has turned to absolute shite before I could get more than half an hour on it

See this is the kind of park I need, not a frickin bowl that no one can skate and no mini ramp or easy lines cos they’ve crammed too much in there. It doesn’t even have a flat rail.

I wish they would build more simple plaza style parks. Some flat ground, various blocks and Manny pads. If it has to have transition make it a small mini ramp. It seemed for a time skateparks were going to become enhanced street spots, something that at first glance might not be a skatepark. I worked with Bristol council in early 2000s to design such a park in Castle Park Bristol. Never got over the line unfortunately.

Yeah, I was talking to the builder as they took the fences down & he was saying he reckoned this was one of the best value builds they'd done, they're all lifelong skaters so they put a lot of efffort into the layout - https://www.instagram.com/concreateskateparks/
I've ridden it on a big wide pool deck and on a surfskate & it rolls really nice - seen a few proper skaters absolutely flying round it too, something for everyone

That’s the thing, if you make a park simple with plenty of space and a few well designed ramps/obstacles the good skaters can rip it up anyways and the novices/old boys get a nice cruise around.

There's a good one at Glasgow Riverside museum along those lines - not really my bag but it's always busy, good to see something different

Looks fun! -

That's the one - the big manny pad & the hip curb thing are recent additions. West End is pretty sorted for skating, Kelvingrove just 5 minutes away too, I find that more suitable for a mellow cruise around. Can't wait until next April 'till it stops raining, haha!

Looking for a junior skateboard for my 7 year old nephew. Anything I should know? I don't wanna get him a toy from Argos, but I don't wanna go crazy coz he might not get into it. Can I get something for up to 50 quid? Any recommendations welcome. Cheers!

The blind logo glitch 7.25 or OG Stacked 7.5” are decent deals here:

Basically a slightly narrower deck will work better for a kid.

Nice! They are full length tho, right?

Think so. You can probably buy slightly smaller than normal skateboards for smaller folk. I’m not an expert.

That is a great deal, but I think i'm looking for a mini to make things easier. Thanks for your input tho!

I’m by no means an expert, but when I did this for our nephew a while ago I was told to just go with the 7.5 normal length ones. This is because it’s hard to unlearn the pivot point etc apparently.

Oh, that's interesting. Cheers!

Didrik Galasso. Dude just out there skating utterly unskatable stuff.
