Thanks for that. I've so little experience of buying leather straps I'd like to see a few in the flesh.

Been enjoying this series and the tongue in cheek nature of this Xmas special is spot on.

Is anyone after a last minute Christmas gift? Super cool full set, warranty stamped 14 Jan 1984 (although I think the watch itself is from the 70s). Hand wound, 35mm without crown. Don’t think the strap is original.
£225 posted within U.K.

Anyone recommend a nice high quality quartz watch for an every day wear, ideally sub £200? Seen the PMD56-2951 which pretty much ticks all the boxes (solar, sapphire, date bonus its perpetual, screw down crown, and tough) but not easy to get in the uk and all the import costs add on.

I think you’re on the right track with citizen. Maybe a 2nd hand Ray Mears? The pmd56 range only gets the radio signal in Japan. You can replicate it with an app but seems like a faff to me

Im wondering what the rrp was..

Rrp is £350 , ocean of storms is still a difficult one to get hold of I believe. Still only available from certain stores and not online.
Am happy to take a drop on what I paid as I want to put the funds towards buying Mrs Ejay the ladies Aqua terra I posted a couple of pages back. -

I’ve been looking at the Swatch / Omega collabs today, on Carnaby Street.
I can’t decide whether to get the grey/black model with the Earth- and Moon phase dials or the Mission on Earth Polar Lights model.
Former is pretty standard monochrome watch colours so like my others, but the phase dials are really cool IMO, whereas the Polar Lights is classic Swatch and a bit out there colour wise.
Decadent me would buy both; Yorkshire me needs to choose one or the other.
Hmmm.

There's already a watch channel on the LFGSS Discord, but I dunno if people want to hang out there. I'm on a bunch of Discord servers so it's fine for me.

Discord gives me a headache. :)
I guess would get used to it but still...
I saw that Tortoise Watches have a new strap section. They're in the Grays Antiques market.
