I'm after a Cartier refill and previously used these Parker gel refills which were great, but as the amazon reviews confirm are short lived.
One of the reviews refrences a "Monteverde gel refill". These look to be off-brand MB replacements, but the shape looks similar.
Anyone got any experience? Or alternatively other suggestions for longer lasting gels in ~0.7mm, ideally a nice blue?
I like gel as it seems to be a happy middle ground.

Are all ink cartridges equal?
I got a Kaweco Brass sport for my birthday and it's a pleasure to write with, it only came with 1 ink cartridge, so need to stock up.
Should I stick with Kaweco ones, or are any acceptable? -

Any 38mm standard ink cartridge will do.

I have these with my Kaweco Sport pens and they're marginally better or perhaps it is that the classic Blue/Black is a perfect hue . No connection to the company: https://www.theonlinepencompany.com/diamine-ink-cartridge-1864-blue-black-pack-of-20

Buy a converter, and some really nice ink.

Don’t buy the Kaweco rubber bladder one mine leaked, they are known for it.

I have the diamine ones from cult pens. I think it was the deep dark variety pack. Some I like and others not so much but they all fit!

Amen to this. So much more choice of ink from the bottle, and so much cheaper.

And really easy to refill. I assumed it would be a ballache when I switched to bottles but I was wrong. It's easy.

Does anyone have a bullet space pen they could separate and post photos of? I'm not having much luck online.
Kids had a play date yesterday and somethings wrong/what needs replacing and I need to work out what it is. The cartridge comes out too far and moves back and forth.
Pretty annoying as it has sentimental value and I should have left it out.
Cheers
(I have the lid/cap just didn't photograph it)

Not sure if this will help, but this is how mine is. The rear part of mine has a tiny little crack so the brass screw in barrel comes out.

Amazing thanks!
Is the spring loose/removable? Or is it fixed in the knurled section?

At least I have an idea of what I am now looking for in the bin.

On mine the spring is fixed. You should be able to put the cartridge into the front section and feel the tension of the spring as you push onto it.
Although I can't see much inside, it doesn't look like it's a particularly special spring. If yours is missing, it might be worth trying to get a donor spring from an old click biro?

Thanks so much. Finding it like this morning really got me down.
Borrowed a spring from a F-701, and it works.

Glad it’s back working. And this has reminded me that I need to get a new cartridge for mine.

I have a Kaweco Sport in brass that I like and use all the time, thinking about getting the mini converter, any opinions?

Greetings writing fans, anybody here want to pay me the p&p to send them this early 90s Parker USA Flighter ballpoint? Low mileage, one previous owner, runs and drives etc.

Clairefontaine and Rhodia seem to be well regarded in the fountain pen world.
