Why not go for XT or SLX direct mount?

Some deals to be had depending on arm length and chainring size.

Do they make 40T chainrings for them though? Doesn't have to be 40T but needs to be something bigger than 32T.

Shimano's own offering only goes up to 38T but you should be able to get aftermarket stuff in =>40.
