They look nice. I've never seen llama wool products here (UK) only alpaca (which I understand is finer and even pricier). I have a sheepswool duvet which is quite pricey enough!

• #124703
Yeah, I found down to be too sweaty/not breathable enough. Wool was better and the Llama even more so, it's great.

What is Discord? Asking for a friend.
I’ll be honest, I’m struggling to work out what it is as well. It looks a bit like WhatsApp so I can’t quite work out how that relates to forum-like activity.
Originally for gamers, but the only experience I’ve got of internet gaming is literally from Pure Pwnage so I’m still like lolrofllolnoobfaglol. I might have to ask the young’uns at work.

HahahA. I can’t even download the fucking app, so there no hope for me is there.

I’ve got one of these little guys
In hindsight I would buy something a bit bigger and better. It noticeably slows down when it gets hot.

I've found the metal ones are ok as the case acts as a heat sink but that's probably only any good if there's clear air around it.
Saying that, most of mine are actually ex small office ones which are probably a bit more robust.
-
• #124708
Yeah I think they would be.
This one is… 100mm across? It’s really tiny. I’ll end up having to put it up on top of something to give it a bit more airflow.

This answered my questions about Discord. Thanks to @rhb in the other thread.

I need to fix this this thing, but don't know what it is. What shall I google for?
-
• #124711
I'm no expert, but probably a 10k resistor in an SMD package.
Are you sure that's the problem?
-
• #124712
103 smd resistor?
-
• #124713
It's a 10k resistor and it doesn't look broken.

• #124714
No worries

Don't leave us hanging. Did you pass?

Can you take bikes on the tube to Epping on a Saturday?
-
• #124717
It depends on the line.
Where are you starting from?
See map

Edit. Actually it looks like restrictions are week days only
Edit 2. I think you can go from Leyton to Epping on the Central Line, the rest of the line you can't take a bike. -
• #124718
I’m going to say central from possibly Stratford, but that’s a guess. Thanks for that map. Leyton’s not too far out of town. Is it??
-
• #124719
It's not far from Stratford
-
• #124720
Awesome thanks, I want to get in and out of town, but fuck paying £69 each way on the train when I can be driven to Epping and take the tube. Last time I took the folder so it didn’t matter.

Obscure q. This is a chistmas present. I ordered the wifi version of this speaker which is considerably more expensive than the Bluetooth only version. Bought from amazon via a reseller. This is what I got. It doesn't say wifi anywhere. I can't tell if it's the right product and obviously don't want to open it.

This is what the bill says

I'm guessing they would put "wifi" somewhere on the box but maybe that's not a correct assumption?
I got leery about it cos when I opened the plastic postage bag the box was partially wrapped in white paper, which just seemed odd and possibly intended to obscure the labelling.

Does it have a barcode with a UPN?
-
• #124725
Is there a (EAN)number on the barcode you could google
No, I don’t feel like it’s necessary.
Here’s the one I have.
