Im on the look out for a Brushless short course truck. Finding it hard to get a decent bargain aha

Indeed , even to convert to brushless , the motors and esc are so bloody expensive

I've built one ic powered plane that I could just about fly super tiger 40 engine, 4' wing span
have an unbuilt electric powered plane in attic, maybe get it together this winter,
I have had a couple of mardave electric cars handed down from Dad, they were fun but built for indoor racing so not many places to race them.
I've moved on to boats, a 72nd scale clyde puffer, a home built canal boat, I did have a pt boat but took the parts out of that, have a Chris Craft hull built by Dad in the early 60s needs out fitted,
then a couple of footy sail boats, a heavily modified Strathclyde 70 and a stock one, plans for a plank on frame 1M again hopefully built this winter plus some scratch build projects -

I think there may be a r/c thread in the miscellaneous and meaningless section. I race 1/12 mardaves at wycombe radio car club and travel around a bit. I also have a 1/10 scale land rover that I occasionally do scale trail comps with.

One of these days I'm gonna treat myself to a Tamiya R.C. Car, Sandrover, Holiday Buggy or Sand Scorcher!

I was looking at a firestorme but i was won over by the short course rc's. Any idea what kind of lipo battery you think would be best for this. Iv got s feeling I'm going to buy the wrong wrong and blow my house up haha

not sure for the blitz as my hpi is nitro, I would lend you some 4c lipo's from my traxxas but they have the wrong connectors for the HPI , sorry

Ahh right :), need to fix my cheap nitro car.
4S! christ haha i dont want to kill myself.
my blitz should do 55+mph with a 3s but will run the motor and esc hot.
I just ordered a 5300 mah 2s 30c lipo so i should be able to get about 35+ which should be plenty -

good shout, 4s is a complete overkill tbh , I used it for ages on non lipo (Nimh) and it was great fun, blitz is rapid!

Maybe I should resurrect this thread...!
Just bought an Arrma Kraton 6s BLX or something secondhand, for the dog to chase. Just need to get him a racing muzzle to protect his idiot face from the high speed spinny bits.

The Kraton is so big and heavy I searched out some of the cheaper AliEx offerings. This little WLToys 1:16 is good fun but the tyres let it down on Wiltshire’s wet leaves and chalk.

Hi mate. Have a search for “RC Crawling” and “Tamiya” over in Miscellaneous and Meaningless. :-)
Couldn't find much on there about them but its one of my other hobbies as well as riding fixed.
Iv got 7 nitro planes that me and my gf's dad share, 3 helicopters, 2 nitro cars and a blade drone.
Im also thinking about buying a electric car and its getting to cold to be faffing about with Nitro.
Will post some pics when I get chance :)
