Fitted it today, but not yet ridden. The installation guide states that b-screw would need adjusting, and it did, but not by much; also, that the limit screws would not need adjusting — but they did. I found this rather surprising — must mean the Direct Mount is slimmer than the standard item.

Interesting, if I hadn't already got a spare tucked away, might have been tempted.
In more mundane tweaks, didn't expect to see Sworks written on this but the skinny stem was the right choice... then Hope went and released the RX stem.
If the 90mm Sworks proves too long, this comes in a single size of 80mm -15 degree.

Sorry, dredge. Any idea what length bolts you needed for the chainstay / seatstay bridges? Doint a little online order and a little unsure! Ta
Seatstay bridge, for 35c tyres with:
2 x 1mm spacer,
A few very thin rubber spacers, because everyone else seems to have a leather spacer
1 x 12mm spacer=
a 25mm bolt.I don't fancy taking the chainstay one off to measure but I'd guess at 15mm.

The year is 2017. I've signed up to be a sports science guinea pig. The pay? Just enough to snag the new Hope 20FIVE hoops. Sure, there are other "perks"—if you can call a VO2 max test a perk—but #crossiscoming, need those wheels for the CX bike.
For five weeks straight, I'll be doing one-hour, all-out tests on a static bike. No music, no clock, no data. Just me, the bike, and my own thoughts. Time stops. Nearly walk away after the baseline test but those Hope hoops, they're gonna change eveything this season.
Fast forward seven years, and, well… I hated those wheels. Honestly, I’m not even sure it was a good CX season. Fark that sports study and the rims - narrow, hard to mount tyres on, never set up tubeless nicely, and now they’re dinged and outdated. Salvaged the hubs and dropped them off with Arkane for a rebuild on something much wider.
Rule #1 of tubeless setup, if the first wheel goes up easily, the 2nd is going to ruin the afternoon.
First one mounted by hand, popped it on with a floor pump, no soap and away. grrr, got there in the end..
For the keen-eyed, if you're still reading (well done, by the way), you might have noticed the rogue spoke on the old rim. Yeah, that thing had the last laugh.
It's dark now, no pictures of the bike but despite the blood, sweat and nearly tears, finished with a big grin. The winter bike vision for the Faran is nearly complete-ish.

This looks really nice! It looked hideous when I had it flipped the other way but this looks great. I wish I was shorter/more flexible.

The forum news is pretty numbing, had to get away from the desk for a bit. Thanks all for all the little insights and tips over the years. Love this place.
Went out and checked the bike for rattles after yesterdays rebuild, fitted some new pads and here it is. Pretty happy with the extra long remote switch Exposure made up, fake dynamo.

Looks fab! As a recent convert to Exposure lights, this setup is great.
Agree on the Hope 20Fives, two friends had theirs crack (lengthways in the rim bed) & they were always behind the times re width.

Thanks, great lights and company. Sent an old Strada in for repair and they upsold me this one at a decent price and included the custom length cable.
Also, forgot the new bike jewelry which given the very road setup, has missed the mark (for now) haha.. Cements my place as an aging millennial :D
