You have to consistently refresh the team whilst they are still dominating if you want to continue that dominance. It’s looking increasingly like City have failed to do that, so they are left with a group of 30-something players who are beginning to struggle with niggly injuries. They don’t have ready made replacements for most of them and that’s showing now.
Still, will be a good test of Guardiola’s management skills, and one I’d think he’ll meet head on.
