  • Just have the pain of wood worktop maintenance to keep up with

I was going to type 'nothing better than the look of good wooden worktop, fuck taking care of the bugger though'! But I wanted to keep it positive.

  • Really nice.

We had the Ikea cabinets/Worktop Express Iroko in our old place and the kitchen was by far my favourite part of the house.

Hence feeling the pressure of trying to make a nice kitchen now we've moved!

  • Does look good, just did my once a year (ish) reoil, takes about 15 minutes.

  • This was our old one. It looked nicer than it was - the plinths were forever falling over and the dishwasher door was an ongoing nightmare.

  • Terrible photos and we haven’t finished the floor or the end wall tiling but you get the idea

  • While I’m here. Cash in hand for trades. What value would you lot be willing to go up to before you want proper bank transfer/invoice arrangement?

  • Really depends what it is your getting done.

  • Gutters and a small roof repair. 2 grand or so.

  • I had 110k worth of work done all done on a handshake and no contract.

    Probably bloody stupid really.

  • That looks really classy, where's it from? We've decided on built-in double ovens because I can't be bothered bending down but I love the look of big range cookers like that.

What's your flooring going to be?

  • Has anyone got a yellow kitchen? Or something similarly bright/unusual?

Our kitchen is going in a former dining room which will have no windows (though the adjoining dining area will have rooflights and patio doors). I think it's going to affect how colours look and so I think something friendly might be nice.

  • Pretty sure Husk (madebyhusk) have a yellow one either on their gram or their site somewhere.

  • Cabinets are from DIY kitchens, tiles were from YourTiles I think. The worktop was from Gemini.

We are going to have engineered wood through the whole ground floor, just waiting for some other works before we can get it done!

The range was an absolute bargain - £500 used on eBay!

  • @tbc not my kitchen but a friends here: https://www.instagram.com/p/C7GbJrYqQqa/?igsh=MWlmY2Jkd25pZHlpeA==

Not yellow other! But orange so fits the bright/unusual criteria possibly.

It’s lovely. Most of the stuff that 345 do is nice. https://www.instagram.com/threefourfivefurniture/profilecard/?igsh=b2U4dGJ6ZmRtMGI3

    Glasgow tho…

  • Nice, I've seen a few that are really well priced and I've been tempted but also got a bargain built in oven and hob.

  • That looks really nice. Looks very expensive with all that ply though...

  • Seen nice yellow plykea kitchens as well
