You can drive a foreign one about. Registering one in the UK isn't possible with modifications. How far those need to go is a bit of an open question since it hasn't happened yet, it's probably easier for a single vehicle than type approval.
'yiannimize' on YouTube has a series of videos on his Albanian registered import and his attempt to get it through the IVA process. The pointy bits seem to involve rubber strips on edges which I hope will be refused.

I thought they weren't legal in the UK for pedestrian safety? Or is there some import / exception that allows them.
