  • Yeah, nah. With a storm and Met Office weather warning in place, tomorrow is a no-go for me.

  • Sensible. Maybe another chance before January, otherwise, looking forward to it already

  • I'd be up for next Saturday (14th) if others can make it

  • St Albans MDiD pencilled in for Saturday 14th December.

  • Other half is away next weekend. Hmm

  • Bumping this as forecast looks reasonable for Saturday. Come one, come all!

Meet at St Albans station for an 8:30 départ.

  • I'll even take Kop Hill out of the route if that can tempt more people along

  • Will a decent forecast tempt anyone else out or will it just be me, @jmg412 , @WhitleyJay and possibly @Ruserius ?

  • I'll do my best

  • Not going to make it down sadly. Will see you all for HDiJ

  • Insane that I missed this thread and yet have a 'check when HDIJ is' calendar reminder set for Jan 1st. God speed!

  • Route looks good, good riders heading out tomorrow, c'mon people get your shit together and get out there!

  • I'd love to but I will be back from the US a few hours too late. Also haven't seen Mrs H for 2 weeks so going straight out for a day on the bike would probably not be well received.

  • Another Moderate+ day out. Harder than it looked on paper; headwind on the way out and a bit lumpy on the way back, made somewhat harder for me by my left hamstring popping with about 50 kms to go.

Big thanks to everyone that's made it to any of the rides this year, both repeat customers and first timers. Riding around in a group (big or small) on our silly bikes is a privilege, and I know it's a significant commitment for a lot of folks to join these so thank you again, and I hope you enjoyed at least bits of it!

All that's left is the big one, HDiJ '25! ✌🏼

  • A tough-ish day out, moderate in scope but the wind and cold were definitly biting at times, as were the couple of 17% ramps peppered along the course.
Hdij in a nutshell basically, or redux.
    See you in january.

  • Lovely route, definitely moderate+ for middle of December

  • @glws brought the steeze I see

  • Hey ! I love my doper gloves

  • Not complaining, I think they're sick. The flowing locks and tache are 🤌

  • Looks so sunny, sorry to have missed this. Something was going on with me that I needed to not be too far away from London unfortunately. Like November, I'll try ride this when I can as it looks like a good route.

  • they are old team stuff from my BIL i I might look for more bianchi era stuff

  • You'd have enjoyed the headwind on the way out! It is a good route, you can choose the lesser of two evils; either turn left onto Kop Hill or carry on and take on Pink Hill then follow road down the left once you reach the top. Both spit you out at the same place. Bon chance if you do manage to squeeze it in!

  • @Ruserius I could probably be persuaded to give this a shot one day
