Coke and pepsi to fight over which fizzy fake sugar drink is best.
But we know that the mexican coke is the best as it is made with sugar.

I realised that it wasn’t obvious that the screenshot above is from Lynx’ link, so I opened my photo app to see if I could re-do the crop.
MFW the app opens in a section I’d never seen before, called photos today or something, and despite having taken multiple pics today it only displays two: the screenshot and a pic of my sleeping child.

It's quite easy to see what the original link should have been:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cd0el3r2nlko
(AMP links are yet another scourge of the Internet. Google:
why is amp bad
and educate yourself.) -
• #92283
I'm not sure if the irony in googling it is intentional or not.
-
• #92284
They didn't google it. AMP is a google project. The domain of the original link is
ampproject.org
. The URL is just wrong and therefore a 404 is served, which just happens to be google branded. -

Looks the The Times is backing Reform now.
3 days running they have has Reform stories on their front page.
Started with a bit pic of Nick Candy "I'm going to the US the speak to Elon Musk.."
Then Nick Candy " I've now been to the US to speak to Elon musk"
And today a pic of musk and a smug Farage with "Musk seriously considering a donation to Reform".Its all non-stories, but making the front page.

365,000,000 disposable vapes per year thrown away. each with a battery and electronic gubbins.

At least smokers are only killing themselves

the little filter things are a mess but i'm sure vapes are worse for landfill / the environment
-

They are not even comparable.
Totally unserious that Labour have scheduled new regs to come into force so far away in June.
And fuck knows why some sort of retail licensing or import license framework for vapes isn't in place, or even scheduled. Same for an eco tax. Two of the lowest possible hanging fruit for putting some sort of interim control in place. And they whine about not being able to raise enough tax and duty revenue.

They’re a big hazard for folks working in waste management too. Disposable vapes cause double digit fires per month at recycling plants across England.

The law of unintended consequences / it's drugs so easy £ strikes again.
Our local spar has a vape recycling tray near the door now, at least it seems some people use it.
