Finally got round to fitting the rear ‘constructeur’ rack.
Also swapped out the saddle for something a bit less nickable. This has become my go-to bike for riding round town, so gets left locked up a lot, sometimes in fairly high theft areas. This afternoon for example, left it unattended on Jermyn Street for a couple of hours!

I have decided to convert this back to L’eroica spec in time for my annual trip to Gaiole in October.
Progress is painfully slow. Today I removed the ‘klunker’ bars and fitted drops.
I want to swap out the Dura Ace shifters for some more recent Tektro ones. Last time I took this to Tuscany braking was rubbish, and I had to walk down some of the steeper hills. This, to my eternal shame led me to featuring in some ‘influencers’ You Tube video.
Anyhow, even with such a simple task, progress has been slow. I have only fitted one lever and have now succumbed to a glass of Rioja.
Thankfully I have a few weeks, but this could go down to the wire.

Oh man... I'm so sorry to hear that. Hope you find it in one piece and soon. Good thing it's quite a looker and easy to spot.

Much to my surprise, my insurers have just agreed to replace this bicycle.
Here we go again.

Good result.
Are you going to do anything different?

Are you going to do anything different?
I think it is unlikely that I will spend a week in Shropshire building this frame.
I will probably commission Bicycle by Design to build it and ask if I can maybe spend a day in the workshop doing some brazing.
