Have you tried a flexible noodle for the v-brake?

Good shout. I was hoping to avoid using one, mostly as I had half a dozen std noodles to hand.

Struggling to find any nice period brake levers for sensible money anyway.

A little closer. Needs a saddle to begin figuring out the fit.

Decided to have a go at refurbing the dead shifters. I thought I'd separated all the internals for right and left. I had. Just not correctly. Much head scratching but I probably leant more for doing it wrong a few times. Seems to shift okay in the hand. Fingers crossed.

Also, 4 of these little bearings had made it into the bag. No idea where they came from.

The feline gentleman is our very handsome and personable neighbour Major Nelson. To the best of my knowledge neither of us skateboards. We may never know. Larger human offspring rightly insists on the garden being a scruffy haven. We do well for Butterflies.

The scruffier the better. Love it
