  • I'm all for crypto but understand the power of hype/hope... The game is rigged if you haven't already figured it out. Not convinced it's going much further so I'm waiting patiently with a bag full of tether to deploy once the heart beat stops. Bitcoin dies many deaths and like the Phoenix rises from the ashes when all hope/hype is lost. We need to see fear in the market place before real Og's get back in. Let the newbs experience what real loss feels like and come back next cycle. Lots of bro's never recover

    Can't decide between 'Parklife' or

  • I prefer imbecile savant

  • I've got nearly (checks coinbase) £13.9 in BTC.
When do I swap it for doge?

  • XRP is finally back up to where I bought in at I see.

Oh right actually I paid both less and more than the current price. Carry on.

  • (Sorry, wrong thread)

Appealing to somebody's social conscience? Very much the wrong thread.

  • Not even. They just get put in a digital incinerator to stop you spending too much and driving up inflation.

  • 🙋‍♂️

  • I came up with the theory that the crypto exchange heist is a secret tax fund for Santa, The Easter Bunny and Tooth Ferry

  • The last two pages are what I hate about cryptocurrency.

  • "Hawk Tuah girl accused of runninng punp-and-dump scheme" sounds like a headline from The Onion but apparently it's real.

  • Serious question. Who has bought BTC above 100k and plans to hold it through the bear market? All I'm seeing is short sellers getting wrecked with quick wicks and long traders doing the same without any significant price movement... Seems like all the money has gone to the exchanges/companies that make money on the transactions for futures trading (ETF's).

  • Who has bought BTC above 100k and plans to hold it through the bear market?

MicroStrategy plus a few other smaller companies following a similar strategy
    El Salvador
    Hodlers

  • BlackRock didn't get the memo I guess... Oh well

  • Have taken a small position in semler scientific as theyre following the saylor model.

@skrtluv i think if you DCA then its fine, also if you believe it is going higher still in this cycle then setting buys at this level is a reasonable thing to do.

  • Just trolling I'm gonna wait for 60k or the price starts to go flat(bear market) and when it retraces back to all time highs sell like the last couple cycles... I've been playing this game since 2019 when BTC was at 30k. Admittedly I've never caught the bottom or sold the top but I'm no professional trader... I just buy/sell on spot

  • Have you done better than if you had bought at $30k and stayed in, ie 3.3x your initial purchase?

I reckon you might have a long wait for $60k, but who knows

  • The more fluctuation within price range only benefits exchanges that wipe out traders who are in over their heads with leverage... At some point the hype will end along with all the retail interest after they have been shaken out. It might not reach 60k soon but at some point you can bet that the prices will fall to create a bearish divergence. That's when to buy back in after it reaches oversold levels. I'm in no rush

  • Does that mean the answer is no?
    ;)

  • That means Ive been able to take vacations and turn my profits into cash that's currently sitting in the bank. Maybe I could have made more holding and not touching it but having turned 50 this year, I've been able to go to Japan,Jamaica and most recently Hawaii without tapping into my savings. Does the comfort of not taking a hit with a crypto crash while away from the charts count for something? I slept better without skin in the game... Or am I doing it wrong? Check my Official Free world thread to verify my claim. I've even left out my trips to the Dominican and the Azores...

  • Am I right in thinking that you would not pay tax on any winnings from betting/gambling with btc?

  • We have capital gains taxes here in Canada on cryptocurrency. Not sure with gambling as I don't frequent the casino... Not even when I was in Las Vegas this January. I know, what a kill joy

  • Yes if you dispose of btc then you would be subject to cut but you don’t pay tax on any winnings from gambling (which I assume holds true for btc). So would that be a legitimate route to try and offset tax?

  • Well maybe not legitimate but possible
