terrible news. rip

What awful news. I always looked out for new posts from Maj - she had a knack for very funny, very perceptive writing.

Almost exactly what I was going to write.
I almost always found a surprising line of congruence with my own inner dialogue, despite being very different ages - although I suspect we had some of the same college/uni reading, decades apart.
I'm not going tag them (so they can read when it's right for them), but I would like to think Hayley's friends here will share some of these messages with other friends outside this forum.
PS: I have a more personal message of thanks which I would like send via a friend of Hayley's, rather than post here, if/when the time is right - as it relates to my own health.

Various of hayley's f+f have mentioned to me that they're reading the thread, some for the first time which is kind of funny. I feel like I need to provide them with a crash course in bike aesthetics and culture so that they can understand just how good Hayley's approach to it all was.
I'm in touch with whoever, so if anyone wants to send something specific along let me know.

It brought a fleeting smile to my face thinking about you explaining a pic of a parts bin, heavily-customised and overly expensive retro MTB with 'in Hayley's opinion clearly not enby enough'.
She's hugely missed here.

:'(
Life is unfair.
Didn't had the chance to meet Maj, but I loved reading her thread and following her builds. She will be missed. -

Really shit news to see on the homepage. Hayley's bike build thread was always such an interesting read. Witty, self-deprecating and with lots of humour. She seemed to embody the main thing with bikes - having fun. The forum will be a poorer place without her updates. Thoughts are with her loved ones.

Such sad news. Sending love out to everyone feeling this right now.

This is terrible to hear, but lovely to see Maj left such an impact on everyone.
Like many I never met her but enjoyed the updates throughout the years. -

Just came here to read up on further discussions about decaf coffee. I'm absolutely gutted to hear Hayley passed away. Her contributions to this forum will be missed for sure! My thoughts go out to her friends and family!
PS: Had the pleasure to see her bike at Bespoke last year. Panda parts are the future!!!

I've never had a proper look in this thread and mostly chatted to Hayley through Instagram but Im incredibly glad I was able to meet her and chat about bikes and Warhammer. I'm going to miss her so much.

As the world continues to turn and the people and places we have come to rely upon for some succour leave us, let us dwell on the one thing upon which we can rely: Stickers.
Hayley's family would like to sticker up her coffin and urn and have asked if anyone on the forum has cool stickers they would like to donate.
Please reply to this message if you would like the address to send stickers to.

@Belagerent I thoroughly enjoyed Hayley's writing and would often send it on to non-forum friends for it's wit and accuracy. A real loss and especially heartfelt sympathy to those that knew her IRL.
Count me in with stickers! A fitting tribute!

RIP
Maj seemed so nice and full of life :( really sad times
I'm so sad to hear news of Hayley's passing. Looking back on this thread I realised we met once at a Trans pride event. She went out of her way to compliment my bike. It was a generous, beaming interaction that was the highlight of my day. Realising it was her has given this news an even deeper sadness.
