Loved him from day one. He did get a lot of bookings in the first half of the season though. Oozes main character energy.

He probably wasn't wrong though.

Why is it better to be owned by Egyptian and American hedge fund billionaires than by a fizzy drink / sports marketing company? Or is it just Klopp hatred?
I mean, I'm still angry about Brendog being robbed at rampage but not to the extent I care about tonight's result.

They don't just own the club, they were allowed to just buy their way into the pyramid, circumventing the rules that are supposed to stop German football from being hollowed out, and they operate like the City Group in a way that cares nothing for loser "legacy fans" or clubs' histories.
I definitely thought Klopp was better than that, even though I never liked him that much.

I hear what you are saying, and if they were playing another German club then I would agree. But I don't think any premier league side has a leg to stand on when it comes to ruthless capitalism!

Red Bull started the serious multi club ownership model which has really helped to fuck up football ownership.

Just recovering from my cardiac arrest. Great game for the neutral I expect.
Giving away mad goals seems to be part of our CL methodology but despite that back up to 3rd and getting close to qualifying for the next round. Amazing. -

Around the same time Abramovich's mates bought Vitesse Arnhem...

What you should talk about is the ancient ties between the two teams, your Arsenes, your Thierrys, the why didn't Mbappe come to the Arsenal eh?, make reference to the great duvet days of Wenger, the Balenciaga days of Arteta mirroring the greater cut and thrust of football, how yes Saka is great but he's only great because Odegaard. And then ruminate on who will go, and when, to the great retirement club in the South (aka Fulham).

lol, this is top notch.
It beats the advice from a colleague, "you get double points the ball goes over the top bar, so cheer loudest at that time".
-
• #172323
Also, you have to ignore Raheem Sterling's running style with the ball.

And also don't roll your eyes if Keir Starmer says something about his dad or Taylor Swift.
-
• #172325
Why will Keir Starmer be involved?
I remember seeing an interview not long after he signed and they asked him if he thought he'd score a lot of goals and he said that wasn't really his game.
It did seem quite hard to dislike him to be fair.
