Erdem x H&M did some really nice tweed coats a few years back, I have a blue single breasted one but they did a bigger grey/brown double breasted too.
Button in liner, was a bargain in the sale. -

how did they wash?
Fine iirc, RL so tend to keep their colour pretty good. My issue is no belt loops and because I’m rapidly ageing, I prefer to tuck shit in and it just looks weird.
I have a gazillion bits of clothing I really need to drag out the loft and list, I’m such a filthy hoarder. -

I don’t think I’ve got to preferring to tuck shit in stage yet.
I’ve just tried them on again and I quite like them. They’ll have to go back though as two security tags have been left on. Rather annoying! -

I've got a pair of these (and the matching zipper).

It’s a no from me on the joggers
I got one of the reversible drakes raglan coats last year. It’s great and I wear it all the time. I’d say it’s worth investing in if you think you will wear it often

Anyone figured out WTF is going on with mens trouser sizing? I have uniqlo selvedge jeans that fit me decently, claiming to be a 33in waist... Can I fuck find any part of my body that measures 33in!
(Context is trying to order some cheap-ish tuxedo trousers online, as physical menswear departments seem almost non-existent unless you just want pyjamas/sportswear).

Is your waist 34-35?

That's why I only purchase from sites that offer actual measurements of the garment in question.

I only have a metal tape measure but I’m getting between 37-39 depending on where I measure.

All this talk of Barbour jacket reminded me I’m going to wax mine this weekend.
Never done it before. Could be a disaster!!

I waxed a fjallraven and it ended up a complete state.
Sorry I have nothing more to add.

If you’re buying any clothes online get yourself a proper tape measure!
Seriously, it makes a difference, and you need to know your actual dimensions.
Do not depend on vanity sizing, and every maker measures differently and has different levels of qc and plus/minus variation. -

only have a metal tape measure
You need to use some string as a tape measure, then measure the string.
Obvs a proper tape measure is easier. They're not expensive.

I’ve got 2 waxed jackets, a no name Barbour copy and a legit Barbour. So had a go on the copy first. It was in a pretty bad way but waxed it and it doesn’t look terrible. The rain test is needed. It’s my allotment coat so being dry is a necessity.

be careful and test it on an inconspicuous bit first. The blue one I have was made much nicer by rewaxing, but the colour of the green one I have was ruined by waxing. Have a hair dryer on hand too to melt the wax as you apply it.
The Permanent style tweed overcoat has some big collar flappage, if you were out at the weekend wearing one air traffic control had to be notified
