I actually need some trail running shoes. Maybe I'll just get some that can double up as trainers and it might encourage me to keep them clean as well.

I've got some half cab MTE3s and they are toasty, dry and grippy

Exactly those ones, but now with safety orange laces and mud.

I would have thought some gorpy Hokas or Salomons would fit the bill

Adidas terrex is worth a look as are the Pegasus / juniper gtx trail from Nike

Nike have re released the SB Gato without the SB branding and it's possibly my personal favourite Nike SB release.

Might have to buy multiples

Brought a pair of these Nike sb react bruins, in this colour way that Nike have labelled “rawdacious”, for small beer pretty much unworn from Vinted.
Have no idea when I’ll actually wear them..
