Wheelsets clearout: PMP x Kinlin, hillclimb Nisi tubulars

Time to clear out a few wheelsets no longer needed. I have one wheel box only so can post one of these sets at cost, otherwise/ideally collection from SW/central London, though I can meet you halfway.

Kinlin Xr-26T rims on PMP hubs - £140 was 200

Great hubs, have a few sets of them. Nice, super tough aluminium (DCR wheels claims they have very high quality bearings and special mud protection too). Look great. the Kinlin 26ts are in good condition, no real visible wear to the brake tracks, so they should last a while. 20 front, 32 rear (so saving a bit of weight at the front where you can, but strength in the rear where it matters). Sapim D-Light spokes. 10sp freehub (might be possible to switch to a 9/10), I can throw a cassette in for an extra £25. No tyres/tubes with it, but shout if you're interested in these. Rim tape inc.

Nisi Piste (200g) Tubular rims on Miche Primato Fixed rims - £150 was 175

Have been saving this for a hillclimb build that never quite materialised. Ridiculously light tubular rims, come in several flavours, these being the 200g version (at least that’s what the bit of paper said that came with them)! 28h, single sided fixed Miche Primato hubs. I think DT Comp spokes, but can't be sure. Barely ridden since they’ve been built. Hard to price, as these are so rare. A bit of glue residue as you might expect.

Ambrosio Excellence rims on Campagnolo Record hubs - SOLD £145 was 150

Good solid wheelset, fairly unremarkable but eg Malcolm Borg at CycleClinic still rates these as one of the best hubs going. Rims are fairly classic, but solid. Good for a more traditional build, or you can always be swapped out for something wider if you feel like it. Again, no tyres/tubes but rim tape included. Can't recall the rim wear, but certainly not obviously concave.

Random I know, but do you happen to have the PMP cassette lock ring tool at all? I'm desperately in need of one if that's going spare...

Afraid I don’t have a spare, but you can use a pin spanner? Or bottle nose pliers in a pinch.

Hi - I am v interested in your Kinin wheelset as my current gravel wheels are v heavy. I've got lots of (possibly stupid) questions though - sorry! On the plus side I am London based so don't need to use your 1 wheel box. Questions: Are these 700c? Are they true? Do they compatible with innertubes and clinchers? What is the overall weight (without cassette & tyres)? Is the rear free hub body compatible with Shimano (I have a 10sp cassette already and not looking to change the groupset)? And lastly have you had any problems running 20 spokes on the front for gravel/off-road? (I ask because my current road front wheel is 20 spokes and it takes a real beating when I take it off-road, compared to my heavy 32 gravel front wheel.) Thanks!

Can these be converted to 11 spd?

Understand I can now swap out the freehub on the PMP, so now offering these with a 9/10 sp freehub if someone needs the flex to run 9sp (or 11sp with an 11-34 cassette).

Sorry if i've missed some key bit of info about the PMPs: Do they only take proprietry PMP cassettes or is it just the lock ring thats funky? Is the cassette that's on it spaced for shimano or campy?

It’s currently got the 10sp only freehub that Shimano ran for a few years, so all Shimano 10 sp cassettes (or certainly Ultegra/Dura Ace). Does have a proprietary lockring, which is supplied.

I can investigate whether I can swap out for a 9/10 speed if that’s a dealbreaker (which would then take an 11sp Shimano mtb cassette, I’ve used 11-34s on a few bikes).
