  • Thanks, appreciate it.
Made it on to Newsnight last night.

  • ^ handsome !

  • Got out after a bit of a rut, forced myself to try something new as the red kites I had hoped to find all disappeared as soon as the camera came out. Using a massive telephoto for landscapes was pretty fun actually, the foreshortening of subject to background was much more pronounced than I thought it would be and made familiar views seem very different.

  • 'Let's Stand in the Road!' thread >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

    https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/175004/

  • I have never seen that thread before 😂😂

I think “road” is generous, given at either end is a very very muddy farmers track that even the farmer avoids in winter for fear of getting stuck. Makes a great off-road cycle route though!

  • Pffft, I know a road when I see one. :)

  • What’s the best data recovery software for sd cards. Jnr has inadvertently deleted about a years worth of images. Don’t think they have reformatted the card, but want to see if I can recover the images.
    Using a Mac
    Thanks

  • Thanks will try

  • Not being a massive fan of sitting in front of a computer editing digital photos, I’ve still got a fairly large selection of filters for various things. Recently got a black mist diffusion filter, thought I’d give it a try with all the Christmas lights out to see how it worked. I’m a fan I think overall

  • got a black list diffusion filter

..black mist, not black list, right? 🙂

I think I'd use one of those from time to time as well, maybe one that's a bit less strong though..

  • Too much work, not enough photos… yeah black mist 🤦‍♂️

This was a 1/4 and 1/8 stacked as i wanted to really see what it did and how it worked. Will try them separate now I know what it does (and doesn’t) do for the kind of photos I enjoy taking

  • This was a 1/4 and 1/8 stacked

..ah, good to know, thanks for the feedback!

Did you shoot the same scene with the 1/4 or with 1/8 only, as well?

  • No cos it was chuffing freezing in the wind! However it’s just round the corner so I had thought I’d go back and see what the same scenes look like with them individually.

  • Not at all perfect examples but here’s photos of the same view (outside my window) with stacked, 1/8, 1/4, none.

  • To be frank the christmas house was slightly more impressive, but I appreciate the effort! 😀

  • Yeah, that really didn’t show off what it was able to do with some street lights 😂

  • You could have at least waited until that bus came 'round again 🙃

  • Once every half an hour round here 😂 I’ll get some Christmas trees tomorrow :)

  • .
