They were gifted the early lead, since they’ve not looked in control at any moment.

Filthy penalty from Palmer. Really is some player.

I liked Temu Jack Grealish..

You're just a good Jack Grealish, a good Jack Grealish...

Andy Townsend calling out Cucurella's lack of professionalism because he did a double Slippy? Great result but it was only the Spuds, can't take too much from that.
Apart from the points, obvs. Three Point Lane continues to deliver.

Was a great performance from Chelsea. Still look vulnerable if a team really presses. But the confidence in scoring is great. Palmers panenka was wonderful. Reminded me of pierlo when Jo heart was all pumped up and needed sitting down

The brutal thing about that penalty was the keeper was already standing up and turning round before the ball crossed the line, but still couldn't do anything.

1) funny how Sancho looks good again
2) never mind the pens, who was the Chelsea player holding onto Enzo's shirt after they scored? That's a cool head when it's going mad. No unnecessary booking. -

Nico Jackson with the coolest head on the pitch. Who would’ve said that twelve months ago

i thought Caicedo was immense for Chelsea yesterday. though maybe lucky to get away with the late studs on Sarr.
good to see Chelsea properly competing again.

I still see pundits repeating the lie that he was awful last season, true, he was nowhere near the finished product (still isn't, obvs) but he was by no means a failure, he scored 14 goals FFS!!!

• #172288
Genuinely curious, why is it good?
-
• #172289
more horses in the race just makes it more interesting
-
• #172290
Fair enough, but wouldn't it be better if those horses were Villa, Forest, Brighton etc?
-
• #172291
Chelsea have got lots going forward.
They have comfortably the worst defense and goalkeeper of any title contenders I can remember though.

• #172292
the more horses the merrier dude

Except Liverpool

Not exactly shocking news but still...

Questionable use of the word 'reward'.

Got tickets to another match, got to see behind the scenes etc.
it’s not like he was made to watch Northern Ireland. -
• #172298
Kid had already got to see us score 4 (four) goals and concede none against premier league opposition and then avoided a derby shellacking, I’d have said he came out of it pretty well.

"...his favourite player Beto"
I'd say it's likely the Wolves game might be the first he'd ever watched.
You've got to be gutted if you're Coleman or Pickford and then this kid's favourite player is a striker who's been there a year and barely scored.

Yeah, I did laugh at that. However, Beto is almost universally loved. He’s not very good, but he tries hard and it looks like it actually matters to him which is all most of us ask. We all hope he does well.
Chelsea are looking very good. Their top boys getting a rest every mid week puts them right in the race now I think.
Ange surely getting sacked in the morning.
