How do you use the Alpaka Zip Pouch Pro?
Is it in a bag or something like that?
-
• #931
It's a pocket pouch really. Could be used in a bag though. Alpaka have some fancy modular attachment system you can get monkied by, the tab at the end of the pouch allows something to go through it so that can be used like that

This is my standard Zip Pouch as my daily card and other shit I don't really need to be lugging around wallet.

EDC for an Autumn walk.
I don't actually carry a radiator key, that was to simulate keys.

My EDC
Card wallet (6 ID, 1 bank, 1 E-Keycard that gets me into everywhere at work and the garage at home)
Plus my phone, but I’m using that to take the picture at the moment.
Oh, I occasionally have a car key as well, but only very occasionally.

Glass cutter. More accurately it’s a Toyo TC17. Brass barrel is satisfyingly heavy. It’s a joy to use and makes a delicious sound when you’re working with sub-2mm glass. This is my ‘dry’ one which I usually have on me during the day. I have a couple of others with slightly different shaped heads sitting in a pot of oil but they don’t get used as often.
I can barely read and write so this is as close to pen-snob as I’ll ever get ;)

I UTFS and I couldn't find a generic bag thread, so asking here.
The seams on my Chrome Urban Ex backpack have given up.
It's actually the third bag I have had through their lifetime warranty that has given out like this.
Not keen on another of the Chrome Industries heat welded seam bags, they just aren't up to it.I do a cycle, train, cycle commute in all weather and do a fair amount of 2 or 3 day flight trips for work so looking for something that can handle both.
Have been thinking about one of these - https://www.stubbleandco.com/products/hybrid-backpack-30lHas anyone got any experience of this brand or model?

Backpack thread is probably the best place to ask.
I can’t help with any recs I’m afraid as I’m a luggage Luddite and always suggest 90s Karrimor which doesn’t fit the brief ;) -

Restrap are brilliant. I've had mine for years and it's taken a beating and still performs as new. Lifetime repairs as well!

I have a Mission Workshop R2 Arkiv, now discontinued I think but replaced by https://missionworkshop.com/products/r6-arkiv-field-pack-20l?variant=40577228570733
My waxed cotton one has been going for a good few years now, bonus is that it can be taken on a flight as a cabin bag so no need for any extra luggage. MW warranty is good too.

Aye they're spendy. I bought a Black Camo Rambler in December 2018 for just over £300 from Condor and apart from a few frayed threads it still looks pretty much as new. Fantastic backpack.
