Ours had a sticky like pad/gasket & clips. Bit harsh denying a warranty claim over a small flexible silicone bead!

Yep, some sort of gasket that came with it, Lamona say the silicone bead stops the glass from expanding and contracting causing it to break
Not going to get too stressed, Was going to get a new one as with more than one area on highest power reduces the power on the others.
Something I never knew about until reading on here. Going to get one that goes turbo on several areas.

On the subject of induction hobs ours cracked with quite a loud noise a couple of weeks ago
Only cheap (Lamona) but we claimed on the guarantee but it looks like the claim will be rejected as the induction job was siliconed in by the kitchen fitter
