Do Q36.5 get invites to all the big races? They aren’t world tour are they?
Maybe they offered him a chance to ride downhill world cups too and put his money where his mouth is -

Pro Tour.

Specialized have added the FDJ-Suez women's team now that Vollering is onboard.
-

They didn't get a Grand Tour wildcard last season, nor did they get invited to ride Milan-Sanremo, Liege or Lombardia.
Is Pidcock a big enough name to persuade RCS and ASO to change that? I have my doubts, especially when Tudor, with Alaphillipe and Hirschi, and Uno-X, with Cort and Kristoff, arguably offer more.

I think it does, cause he draws in the UK viewers for any race that fits him. Which is quite a lot I think. All the spring classics with any bit of hill or cobble and the grand tours.

Keep them coming! The campagnolo sleave bit is a nice touch on the cofidis kit.

Ortega's bars, what are they? (TCL)

Pidcock is obviously not in the same league as MvdP, but he’s regularly in the same sentence. He gives Q36.5 relevance and we’ll undoubtedly see them at more races. Great move for them and I’m increasingly thinking it’s a great move for Sir Pidders. If he’s got the ear of the money man and is allowed to build his own programme and squad, it could be amazing. If he knows what to do with the opportunity, that is.

If he knows what to do with the opportunity.
He has already told us it's going to be lit.
I'm expecting some skibbidie rizzla in his next Insta post.
The racing will be secondary to the socials & the engagement stats.

I think/hope Sir Pids is too competitive and ambitious for that. We’ll see.
He’s never looked older than delivering that ‘lit’ line.
-
• #51966
He’s a fierce competitor but I do wonder about who he surrounds himself with and if maybe he’s softened a little now he has cash, girlfriend, manager etc. but hope not

Second most cringeworthy moment in cycling, only topped my Geraint Thomas’ mic drop.
-
• #51969
UK viewers are basically a sideshow as in 12 months there will be no fta tour coverage.
-
• #51970
All three hundred of them?
I'm trying not to let my own opinion cloud my judgement, but I don't think Pidcock is that popular with UK cycling fans. He certainly hasn't cut through to be well known outside of cycling fans, in the way that Wiggins and Cavendish have.

At least G has the excuse of being nearly 40
-
• #51972
Ta, I imagine they're pricey.
-
• #51973
Are you forgetting all those hiphop music video things? Or, literally anything that mentions "wolf pack"?
-
• #51974
Nah, mic drop was the worst. The Astana raps were daft but there was a sense of self awareness. ‘G’ on the other hand really thought he did something edgy with the mic drop.

He certainly hasn't cut through to be well known outside of cycling fans, in the way that Wiggins and Cavendish have.
They surfed a wave of general interest where there's now a millpond.
If we had a home Olympics and if he won a shitload of medals & the TdF*, then he might become a household name. If that's what he even wants.
(*He couldn't rely on a Giro or Vuelta win for that either.)
Q36.5 confirmed
RIP Tom, we will always remember the downhill and the mtb final.
