Yes it’s a great bit of kit and quite versatile for shitty weather, it has sentimental value as I wore it for wet tour of Flanders/Roubaix sportives and I’m not throwing it away just because those bits are broken.
I’ll re tie the chord in a fixed position and tighter for now and get some of those silicone stoppers to be fitted at a later date, the chord ends are sown in so will need to be cut and re sown.
I’m in SE but no rush to fix properly.

I just checked through our trims box, and afraid I don't have any of those in-seam adjusters. I do have some small 'pigs nose shockcord adjusters' or 'pigs nose cord stoppers' , that could work just a little more bulk, or a single 'captive shockcord adjuster' would work (for single cord adjustment, and item attaches to hem with tape). ...nothing on the schedule just yet, but think you're SE London? Will be no worries to sort over xmas break.
