  • Antivirals are amazing, back at work tomorrow. There's just a barely visible line on this morning's RAT.

OH tested positive yesterday but I got her antivirals straight away, she's doing okay today. Mum and dad are fine too so everything turned out better than I'd feared.

  • Pretty sure I have had it, sore throat started over a week ago then seemed to improve and then I went downhill and was really rough for a few days. Improving now.
Didn't bother trying to get a test.

  • Which antiviral, out of interest?

  • edit: see you've answered. interesting - great to hear it worked well for you :-)

  • yes he will do

  • It has got me again. I've felt lousy all week, tested earlier in week negative but feeling worse today & test was instant positive.

Justifies how crappie I'm feeling, but no consolation.

  • I wonder if the horrendous cough I've had for the past nearly four weeks was Covid, as I have been smelling cigarette smoke where there is none for a good while now and to say it's slightly disconcerting and depressing is an understatement 🙁

  • I am sure i had it a while ago but did not test. I had a chesty cough afterwards for about 4 weeks

  • Yeah, same. Had a chesty cough that's been going on the 4-5 weeks. Got worse, then got a bit better, than worse again over and over. I did one test that was negative at the start, but that doesn't mean much as the first time I got COVID, i tested negative 3 days running and only positive on the 4th.

  • A long-lasting cough has been doing the rounds for a couple of months. I don’t think it was covid, though.

Mrs M had this recently then norovirius, debilitating..

  • I'd never heard of RSV until I saw it on those covid/flu/RSV RATs. My OH had it while I was in Europe then I immediately gave her covid when I got back, she still isn't 100%.

  • Exactly the same. Over it now. Phantosmia remains though 😑

  • Phantosmia

I didn't get this, bad had acute Anosmia (at least three months) which was followed by Parosmia (at least 6 months). Still feel as though my sense of smell hasn't really returned to normal even now.

    Feel for you.

  • My exercise/ training has been fucked over since covid 3 weeks back. I thought I was going to pass out after climbing a set of stairs in a shopping centre on Monday.

I've got a race tomorrow and if I do start, a dnf is quite likely. race cancelled due to forecast weather

  • My sense of smell never came back properly after getting Cov in the early days of 2020. It's probably about 25% of what was normal before, but there aren't too many occasions when it has a negative impact, and there are positives, like not being bothered by the dog farting. Of all the senses you could lose, it's the one you'd choose.

  • Same with me. I can't really smell flowers now. Oh well.

Luckily it hasn't noticeably impacted my sense of taste.

  • I'd get rid of my sense of impending doom.

  • Ditto.. Mrs M is four weeks unwell now, doesn’t feel like going out.. the Xmas madness in London is also not very pleasant

  • I thought I was going to pass out after climbing a set of stairs in a shopping centre on Monday

I went to visit friends and they asked me to grab something from their basement. Had to have a breather on the way back up. Worst bout of covid I've had since the first.

  • Yeah, not fun. Hope it doesn't linger for you.
