Day 6, done

kudos for persisting on this, especially considering the weather for the last week.
I vowed to do similar when the first lockdown happened and lasted for two days.

What was today's treat Hayley?
I may just check in every third day to find out what the treat was.
This is my kind of riding, fuck ultra/audax/pass hunting. The only riding I'm doing from henceforth is cake hunting (like pass hunting, but without carrying your bike over a mountain, and probably more calories in than out).
Peace n love, enjoy your rides. -

Thank you @bigshape !
@jontea today I had my dentist appointment in the morning (reminder for everyone to get their teeth serviced just as frequent as their bike). This means I got to stop by bread by bike. I picked up
A slice of orange and olive oil cake
Fig and walnut sour dough
Sweet potato, chilli and honey focacciaYet to try the cake, the focaccia toppings are good and save the middling focaccia, the plum and fig bread is delightful.
Sat down for a long black there and it was ok, the decor and tableware is A+, sharing tables, the coffee comes in a mug, cozy wood benches. But they use ozone beans which are just a bit shite
Next Tuesday treat I’m going to cycle to meet a mate at special guests. Which is like the opposite, where the decor is horrid stainless steel and the trays they use are branded but too small for the carafe and cup. However, the coffee bangs as much as I’d like to hate the place.
Edit: should add the real treat was getting this run on Balatro while I was in there iykyk

That bread sounds awesome, lightly toasted with a coating of butter would do me fine right now.

Day 7 done, maybe the hardest day since the first for some reason. Although it does feel like I recover quicker when I stop.

i've given in, i've ordered a new chain and will put my single speed cog on in anticipation of going to manchester on the weekend.
ofc it's gold, a single speed with a non gold chain is like an angel without wings

Don’t think I’m going to make it out today, am quite sick and have had to pop to the doctors.
A shame, but I shall make it up

Uhhhhhh break might be longer than a few days - need to talk to the heart docs - manifesting rn
@exteroceptive I think the best I had good ones at new grounds coffee and one off menu item at long and short, but I couldn’t for the life of me tell you what the roasters were

I do love a decaf recommendation. Means it's usually good.
Day 5 done, took a slightly longer route today, was feeling a bit lethargic. But I was shocked as I stood outside the coffee shop which is usual open as I go by, waiting to get my partner a pastry
Goes to show, even modest exercise in a short space of time has an impact
