Riding the Brompton into work today and my front Exposure strada kept pointing at the floor. I guessed I hadn’t tightened it properly in my haste to swap it over from my regular commuter bike. On further examination the hinge pin had rusted through and snapped. Bugger and also bollocks. So out with the mini drill and a route around in the cupboard for that box of split pins that were left to me by my Grandad 20 odd years ago. And it’s fixed. It’s not pretty, but at least I will be able to see on the way to work tomorrow.
As per the pics are in a strange order.
