Hmmmmm
After a bit of riding, for the moment anyhow I don’t really enjoy single speed, I’m pretty much just constantly thinking about how riding fixed would be more enjoyable.
So. Flat bar SS on hold
But managed to nearly get fixed tracklo done35c tyres and a change of wheels
Just need to get a 1/8th chain on
3/32 currently and then should be perfect

After skirting about London skidding innocent lime bike users. I have now returned to civilian mode.
Lots of fun actually!
Need to stick the framebag on and use it for commuting

Finally got the brakes dialed in
Avid shorty ultimates are powerful and cool looking, but for a first time user of canti brakes.
Damn it’s a puzzle to get them dialed.Hahah
Looking forward to commuting on this. Slapped some 32c gravelkings on

cantis are so confusing for my impatient, ham fisted mechanic brain.
On the only bike I had with canti bosses I decided to bin them off and go with v-brakes that were slightly less of a pain for me.
the bike looks like a lot of fun man! I’d love to replace my fixie with something that has wider clearance and canti bosses

ah sick man I’ve also dreamt about a Big Bro or similar rigid mtb for ages. I’ve kinda set myself a rule to not get one until I either make a concerted effort to go on trips to places where I need such a bike, or move out of London, but we all know how easy it is to get convinced if one were to appear for a good price. I rode a friend’s a bit around the New Forest once, they’re really fun.
And yeah I hear you on brakes and big tyres for commuting. I’m going to run the Allday fixed but with both brakes, 35c tyres and sort some mudguards for it before the autumn
And hang in there with the work grind man! I’m sure things will ease up eventually. If ever our antisocial work schedules align we must go for a ride 🫡

Haha yes. Collecting on Tuesday!
The brother you got looks sweet. Nice idea for it
Can’t wait, planning some bigger bikepacking trips, as well as the fact as I usually hold onto my geared bikes better than fixed.Unfortunately things are only just beginning for me, no slow up until next may, when we will finish these tunnel drives.
One day. One day.

Always the opposite for me, way more comfortable in straps and cages than clips
Very nice!
(The seatpost is backwards though)
