Well done! It's such a good barrier to break!
Oh and happy birthday for tomorrow 😁
I think I'm finally coming out of the other side of 5 months of Runner's Knee. It's crazy how long this is taking to heal, but after a shit summer spent mostly in the gym, I am finally out doing gentle 5k plods. It's not the cardio or strength that I'm struggling with now, but the constant anxiety during each run, each step even, that my knee is going to go pop again and that'll be it for another 5 months 😕 I suppose I'll just keep at the 5k twice-weekly runs until my head gets over it.
I have spent the last few months targeting sub 20 5km with the goal of going out and running it the day before my 40th. Managed to mess up by not actually booking the Battersea 5k to do it and was really quite ill but thought i had to have a go.
