Could I have some info re the towel rack? Why was it necessary to cut it to use the shifter, and how much has it been trimmed by?

Yep, Uk 12.5/eu48

I didn’t cut them. They were trimmed down about 6mm on the right hand side to even out the sides to accommodate the body of the bar end shifter, may have been a visual thing. I never noticed any difference functionally
