We haven’t as during the first couple weeks on one day we waited an hour to feed him and he threw up bile, probably out of hunger.
He is mega treat-oriented so he recalls for high value for a while but then gets hyper and bitey.
He slept a few hours this morning since getting back but unsure if he’ll allow me this afternoon on the training course (mon-fri).
Went from this, to barking.

Just a thought, have you considered - wake up, walkies with recall training using high value treats then breakfast on return from walkies. It was one of the suggestions we tried to improve recall with our dreadful sprollie, RIP. He was all for the hunt and could not give a fuck about treats when away from the house. However getting busy first thing then breakfast worked nicely and he was ready for food when we got home. Then having eaten straight to bed.
