Spent yesterday replacing the shitty bridge on my Squire classic vibe Tele with a Wilkinson compensated with brass saddles and new strings. Took me most of the day to get the intonation anywhere near correct and I'm still not convinced the B and E are right.
It's gotta be a compromise somewhat with strings sharing the same saddle? One is OK the other not so.
Next up, replace the tuners

Wilkinson compensated with brass saddles and new strings
I managed it quite easily with my Gotoh bridge with compensated brass saddles, which is quite an achievement for me as I'm normally crap at guitar setup.
I would suggest going in fresh and starting over again on that saddle with B and e strings.
With the Gotoh brass saddles, you can flip them over and the string break points are reversed. Maybe check to see if the Wilkinson ones offer the same - you may have inadvertently reversed them?

Will take a look. It was all together when received so assume they were in the correct way.

Has anyone tried loop earplugs for reducing levels when playing/practicing in a group? Any thoughts?

I have some with the magnetic lanyard for gigs (as a punter not a performer) and they're OK. The lanyard was what swung it and it's quite handy to be able take them out and have them around your neck, but I don't think they're really any better than the cheap Thunderplugs I have apart from being easier to put in/take out (at a cost).
For production I've got some custom moulded ACS.

I want a Fender Deluxe Reverb...
Gassing hard

Not really that rare but it's seems they're becoming more desirable. Mine was AU$1,500 shipped from the US which turned out to be a good deal, I reckon.
I let a Deluxe slip by earlier this year, '68 SF reissue for AU$1k, great price but I couldn't justify it. And I don't have any more space for amps (or anything else for that matter) anyway. 🙃

There's a silverface reissue in my local music shop for 799 at the mo. No idea haven't had a proper lok so not sure if that's a good price or not. I do fancy trying one too. The earlier blackface RIs from the 00's were the the recived wisdom perfect small gig amp back when I spent too much time on the Telecaster Discussion Page. I don't think i've ever actually played one now that I come to think of it. I've had proper SF Twins, Pros, Champs and now a Vibrolux but I don't think i've ever played through a Deluxe Reverb... or a Princeton for that matter! Oversight.

Tele re-neck update: Got totally frustrated by being stuck in internal bushing diameter hell in which nothing i ordered fit the tuners I had and I couldn't find any helpful information online. Ended up doing this...

Gonna string up and do the nut this evening.
Oh also, a guitar teacher mate of mine has started sending pupils to me for guitar set-ups. I had a really gratifying experience this week where a bloke brought his son's guitar round needing a set-up.
His boy is 23 and has decided to go to music college so needed his instrument sorting out. It was a weird Fender MIJ stratty thing with a bridge humbucker and binding. It obviously hadn't had new strings maybe ever and the intonation was like a full semitone off. In fact the harmonic wasn't even over the 12th fret which had me worried for a bit i think it was just the extreme age and gunkiness of the strings.
I was able to take it from almost unplayable to *chef's kiss with a couple of hours of tinkering. It needed a little bit of fret dressingabove the 12th, a fret polish, fretboard clean and condition, action and intonation tweaking and i just happened to have the right trem arm sat in a box on unused spares so threw that in. Returned it yesterday and the bloke (who turns out to live just round the corner) was totally made-up, and brought me a properly posh bottle of wine as a thank you. All very wholesome.
I'm still doing it for free at the moment but thinking about maybe turning it into a side-hustle.
EDIT: googled it. Must have been one of these with an aftermarket humbucker:

Re-neck now has passed approval for entry into service. Now into shakedown testing and fettling phase. First impressions… it’s massive! Way more baseball bat than I appreciated before fitting and stinging up. It’s darker and I dig the frets. Still need string trees and nut work.

Nice rig! 🙏
Plus import duty. It moves out of a small bargain territory 🙁
