Some of them are 30 odd years old at this point. If they were all breaking, we'd have found out by now.

I’ve always hated it. It’s full sticky-out single cantilever vs aluminium fatigue why didn’t they just stick the stay a bit further back madness.
I was about to say if it had been a problem we’d probably see it posted all over the internet but Tester makes a good point about them back in the day.
