My dog once ate something in cling film, I hadn't realised. After his shit he came back into the house and was running around with a shit stained bit of cling film hanging out his arse, obviously I had to pull the cling film out. Thankfully we have tiles not carpet!

My daughter's long hair has had a similar effect in the past. (With the dog that is)

My wife's hair also. The poor puppy was justifiably horrified by the experience and yelped his head off while trying to run away from the shit that was inexplicably chasing him.

You should stop chasing him.

This happened with ours and one of the OH’s hair. He spun in circles jumping while it flicked from cheek to cheek

Just reading back through the last few pages. Police nor council care about dog on dog attacks. Pheobe was attacked by a German Sheppard and both said it's not their problem

Maybe start aking a walking stick on your walks. One it looks cool, two you can use it to keep mental dogs away

A good few years ago one of our hounds Grace was attacked by a 3 legged staffy with a history of the same. She needed stitches etc. The owner did pay for Gracie’s and another dogs vet bills and the dog was rehomed (she was apparently I really loving dog in its new home). This only happened because somebody or bodies had words with the owner and their car had an accident while parked and a window was smashed and… I think it was something about a drug war.… I genuinely had nothing to do with it, but obviously they didn’t know that.

Trying to get this one to run after a toy and bite the toy not our hands is proving very very slow progress. But at least he is jogging a bit.

I'm lucky as I'm in Cornwall and have plenty of places to just let them run. I have 3 large dogs (and one terrier) and just take them somewhere like the coast path and let then wear themselves out. Do the little fucker later as she just bites the ankles of the others and is nearly 13 so can't do massive miles.
Seems like you have your hands full but making progress.

A dog trainer this morning recommended we divert Ziggy’s cardboard cravings with raw cabbage. He is currently lying with a satisfied air on his back on a bed of shredded cabbage leaves, like some kind of strange salad. Result.

Seems like progress until he paces and won't settle for 45 minutes at a time.... but won't play, doesn't need the loo, has a belly full of food, etc. He's just a total scrote.

From a distance he looks like a proper little dude. You need to find what his focus is. Two of mine is food, unfortunately the boxers is cats...

Not sure if you know, but don't let sighthounds run after eating.

Link doesn’t work but yea, definitely no exercise straight after eating.
He’s currently on Natural Instinct Working Dog. Possibly part of the problem, that he’s getting too much good energy from the food and not enough outlet.
The last two months we waited an hour after eating just to walk him. Wake up at 07:00 and fed, walked no earlier than 08:30 but often 09:00.
As of last week with the recall/“running” to us, we do that an hour after breakfast. That should be enough time as it’s an enforced rest & digest from 07:00-08:30.

I do enjoy working dog food marketing and the tax loophole :-)

From what a recall from our rescue hounds you need a low protein food for them. Which sounds strange, but they will just build muscle and store energy there.
https://burnspet.co.uk/dog-food/original-large-giant-breed-3/ I think this is the one we had the most. But it’s sometimes marketed for “resting/injured greyhounds”
Boo! and Gracie for good measure x

That natural instinct - bailey is on that every now and again, I don’t notice any change in energy levels I do notice she fucking loves it though.
I’ve just reread your post - I take Bailey out first thing without feeding her. Take her food with me. Then she gets fed again when she’s home. Bit of dried animal part on the sofa and sleep. (Throat, paddywack, tendons, turkey necks all work well for her. Dried lambs balls as a small “oh fuck off im making my lunch leave me alone”)
It doesn’t help when you go to the big park and stop them from becoming self employed all walk. Ask me how I know.

Yea we are trying to get him to understand that he doesn’t need to work.
He was settled for a couple hours but full-on heckles and howls as the neighbour’s cat didn’t shift as he bolted into the garden.
Pretty sure the other neighbour that works nights will be making himself a coffee as a result.

Our pup takes 45 minutes to do a shit as he has eaten so much foam and stuffing fluff from his various toys and beds/mats
