This occurred to me as I was driving home this evening and it's kind of a confluence of various topics that I've been reading through on this forum recently (car thread, people not dipping headlights, being tall...)
Anyway, but the ergonomics of things.
I have never had a car, where I have the seat and the steering wheel adjusted for the most comfortable driving position, where I can actually see the top most row of information lights on the dashboard. Every car I have ever had, I have to dip my whole head down to see the lights that tell you that your headlights are on or that tell you that your full beam is on because the steering wheel is on the way.
I did some ergonomics modules at uni and seem to remember that, at best, things are generally designed for the 5th to the 95th percentile. If you're outside of those margins, you have to just put up with it or buy specialised stuff.
