The article isn't clear on where and how it happened, but I assume you're referring to the junction above the Westlink between Carlisle Circus and North Queen Street? It's a logical stretch to close the street for such a length, but it may have happened anywhere along there. RIP Gary McMahon.

This article from the Belfast Telegraph says that the ambulance service were called to an incident 'on the A12', which is the Westlink. It may of course refer to one of the slip roads, which are part of the A12 and the crash may have been at one of the slip road junctions with Clifton Street.

They aren't super specific anywhere.
It could have been a lorry turning into the Westlink. Photos suggested the RTC happened at York Street.
Somebody on social media claimed they saw the incident, hopefully they spoke to police.

Yes, as in London you probably mostly just get write-ups of emergency services press releases plus photographs of police cordons these days.
Photos suggested the RTC happened at York Street.
The releases all have Clifton Street. What's true? We may not know.
And yes, hopefully there will have been witnesses at least.

A cyclist who died after a collision with a lorry in north Belfast on Thursday has been named as Gary McMahon.
I don't know him or anybody who knows him, RIP Gary.
Very bad junction, busy and with impatient drivers and parked cars. No cycle lane / no bus lane for cyclists and buses only.
