  • Their customers

    Peak Yiannimize?

  • Jazz. Will look for loose wire first

  • He's one of their partners

  • Hatchback then, trying to find out how the power gets to the elements in the glass. Either the attachment to the glass isn't working or a broken cable in the flex cable area going to the hatch

  • What's going on here?

It also had 2 (working) rear exhausts.

Didn't get a chance to see if it had a matching thing on the driver side

  • Looks like a fake stick on, as the trim around the pipe coming out of the wing does not have enough of a gap for movement.

  • I'm a fan of plastic bolt on shite to make your imaginary Lego batmobile a reality but I'm just surprised that's anyone's idea of dream Lego batmobile :D

It looked and sounded completely stock otherwise

  • an inverse snorkel for all the flooding we are getting at the minute ?

  • Has anyone a ball park figure for labour charges to replace a radiator on an Audi A1. Apparently the whole front needs to come out to do it. Radiator may not be too expensive - Google gives prices around £70 for a pattern part. I'm worried and, as it's my daughters car, she should be too!

  • A Time sert thread replacement is better

  • Pothole claims, anyone had any joy? 🤬

  • Any videos on how to strip the front end? To get an idea of time needed.

  • Got a price this morning. £270 for everything. Not as bad as I was expecting as that includes the rad and coolant etc. Thanks

  • Ouch! Tell me that's a rental and not your pride and joy.

  • It’s mine, so far a front and rear BBS split rim straighten/refurb, a front tyre ruined too so a pair of front tyres as well, then I’ll take it for an alignment check - joy!

  • Think all the details are here https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/pothole-claims/

Might be worth a caster/camber check. Any of your car friends got a caster camber guage? https://www.gunson.co.uk/product/77066/Trakrite-Camber-Gauge

  • Nice one, yeah I found the MSE details having a google I’m deffo going to put a claim in but have no idea success rate…

Friends with cars, but no real petrolheads/tinkerers alas…

  • Is this stuff genuinely ok for all coolant types (red in a vw passat) and on to mix into what's already i the system?

    https://prestone.com/product/prime-all-vehicle/

  • Also, partners folks Berlingo 67 plate has 30k miles but warning light I can't decipher. Settings menu diagnostic screen which shows no fault.

Finally other than hire vans for short term rental I've never had ad-blue experience, how often should this be filled? Is there a ratio to follow?

If the adblue has been neglected for some time what would the effect be? Damaging?

  • When was the last service?

  • Very good question. It was MOT'd in October but don't think that included service. I note the spanner service light is on.

Edit: there owner pack is here, it was last stamped 2021 at nearly 12k miles. That doesn't mean defo no service since but could be the case.

Edit 2: a printed invoice shows May '23 at 20164, it's now at 21418 so v.low usage since. Stored on drive not in garage.

Attached is work done then, I need to translate but £311 to confirm sensors misfiring & clear error codes I think?

Feels like a dodgy garage could rinse folks with all kinds of "fixes" on this? I'm not trusting, correct.

  • Why not get the proper red stuff? Don't trust the all in one stuff any more as there are so many types nower days. Also there is a Gsf on white hart lane near you, and so is Halfords at Tottenham Hale.

If it mail order, go on eBay and find mannol in the right spec from the something carriage company they are my go to.

  • Have a universal code reader you can borrow. Have a version of the one code reader but not sure cable or software would work on that pug.

Citroen/pug can be difficult to work on with out the proper lexia oe diagnostic kit.

Is it a wet belt engine?

  • When I did about 500 miles beyond the service interval (holidays, forget to book service, etc) the warning triangle lit which gave me a fright. Got the service, warning disappeared, I assume due to the service interval reset.

  • I currently have some red stuff but had bought this too, and was about to use it as couldn't find red (it was in the boot). I wondered if it'd maybe be usable, but I can get more red if I plan ahead. VW is drinking alot of it at present...
