Those Miche cranks I posted turned up today and they’re actually proper nice - axle had a crap plastic cap on the end so once you knock that out they look kinda smart for the money

I’ve had a set of these for about a year and they’ve been great - the rings mark quite easily but the cranks look slick and are a good match for silver Campy if you want a 52/36 or cba with ultratorque bearings

Is that the GB (Gerry Burgess) logo on them? Pashley must have taken over the brand name.
-
• #8081
That’s the one - longish story but fresh out of uni I was hired by Pashley to do various things, including scoping out whether GB could be spun out as a viable aftermarket parts brand again. We had tube bending machines and everything but the quality was consistently sub-Nitto so the idea was ultimately nixed.
They still use the branding on OEM parts for their more expensive bikes but it’s just that - a logo and nothing much more.

Favero Assioma single-sided power meter pedals £250:

Plus import duties and VAT though (if getting delivered to the UK)

Many thanks for clarifying - this had been pointed out in the Power Meter thread before but I was too lazy to confirm! Typically £370ish from UK stores

The key thing with European purchases these days is finding a small retailer who doesn't properly understand the new rules. If you're lucky you can get shops that will exclude the VAT but let you place an order under the £135 threshold meaning it sails through UK customs. The bigger shops R2 bike etc have minimum order amounts (over £135) meaning you'll get picked up by UK Customs.

Great deal on an Exposure Diablo light:

Good deal. That's not far off what Wiggle cut them to when they had the fire sale.

Had a quick nose, import duty appears to be 4% and VAT due at 20%, so looking at £312 to your door. Good price

Water resistant, stretch trousers that look and feel nice, good for office or pub, just had a pair of these delivered and liked them enough to buy a second
£24 for navy down from £80, then another 10% off with 10BF code
All normal sizes still available

Cheers. Been needing something like this for a while to stop wearing ultra cheap old fleece lined trousers "out".
Also bought a columbia puffect jacket from trisports Ebay outlet for £35 to replace my father in laws old 80s ski jacket, which is now admittedly tired.

Nice one. Needed some walking strides but was reluctant to pay Fjallraven prices. Cheers.

Not exactly a bargain, but Panaracer tyre sets can be had for a very decent price on their own website. BF discounts combined with EMAILPAIRS20 code mean the new edition Slick+ TLRs can be had for 36 quid.

Panaracer tyre
I'd class them expensive even if they are free.

It’s a genius offer. -

So there's no way of knowing that you're the 11th customer, and thereby don't benefit from the 'offer', until you've paid and completed the transaction? And as Starling's CRN isn't mentioned in the T&Cs, I wonder if a change of name at Companies House would to, say, Pigeon Cycles, would prove a potential workaround if they're really struggling in 7 years (not to mention T&C No. 8 of course)... Great bit of marketing though.
Just one tracker, but £55 in 2022 to £80 now is mental.
