yes, but it doesn't lock in place like a wahoo mount would. Never been an issue for me though.

Is the frame a carbonda 707?
-
• #124507
Perhaps not a 707 but if it is a carbonda (or other imitation) and someone can help me prove it I’ll give them £100.

Is it worth ^^^^ I doubt it…

While technically the same bike, it’s $1200 more for that (more divisive) livery. Also the bike is a 49cm, which don’t seem to come up much in the 2nd hand market.
Also the owner has managed to break the thru axle retainer somehow…? I know some Factor have a design/production flaw where the derailleur hanger, if cynched down tight, gets in the way of the thru axle, resulting in excessive friction to remove and install the thru axle. The workaround is to loosen that plate, tighten the axle, and tighten the plate, but I wonder if they didn’t know that and somehow broke the retainer. 🤷♂️

Is that chain even on the jockey wheel?
I don't think I'd be parting with 7.5 grand for something that's been hamfisted around 4000km -

Do I want to buy a LED or LCD monitor? Use case is second screen for gaming/homework.

I've currently got a 2-bay NAS at home for file backups and my kid's TV shows/films. It's currently running with mirrored drives and getting low on space.
Upgrading to larger drives seems like a relatively costly option, and I can see a few decent 4x4TB options second-hand for £300-400 (I could get 2x8TB drives for my existing NAS for a similar price). And of course the 4x4TB option will yield greater storage capacity than the 2X8TB option.
Seems like a slam dunk for buying a 4-bay NAS right?

Yep. If you'd consider an old QNAP TS-431P I've been meaning to upgrade mine to one with more bays. Good condition, obviously without any drives in it. They're going for £150 on eBay but I'd take £100 (plus postage from SW15) from a forumenger.Actually, just seen the prices of 8-bay rackmountable NAS and I'll stick with mine for now!

Do you need to run it mirrored?
With my NAS (albeit a chunk bigger than yours) which is mainly TV shows/films/music I've taken the view that if needs be I can download the vast majority of it again if needs be. I run a script to list out all the files and back that up to the cloud so I'll know what I've lost and personal stuff (which isn't that big) gets backed up to the cloud and elsewhere.
The last few drives I put in were a shucked 8TB drive from a USB HDD (considerably cheaper than a standalone one) and a certified refurbished helium 12TB drive that cost under £100.
If that hasn't convinced you and performance isn't too important then I have a HP Microserver N40l to give away.

Yeah, at this point I'm thinking along similar lines. Stop running it mirrored, and back up the relatively small capacity of personal files backed up using cloud storage as well as some offline disk storage.
I did also just discover that Synology & QNAP also sell NAS Expansion devices, which seems like a pretty handy thing to have. Though I haven't done the working out, so maybe buying a bunch of new drives twice the capacity of your current setup is better value than an Expansion device + new drives at your current drive capacity.

What is going on in this little woods area? Why are there always bikes locked up next to the main path here?

My Garmin Edge 530 is dead.
What should I get?
I what something simple, but directions would be nice. -
• #124520
I like my Wahoo Element. Much less complicated and fiddly than the 530 I had! The drawback is that if you deviate from the path, it won't correct you. I think posher models do though.

• #124521
I've a Garmin 130 which does basic directions, and it definitely meets the simple criteria.
What level of directions do you need? It doesn't really do re-routing, but if you just want to follow a pre-loaded route, it does a pretty decent job.

short-term storage?

What's the best Christmas tree holder? 7ft.
The Wahoo mount style looks to be the same as Garmin’s but rotated 90d.
So, does a Wahoo fit the Garmin stem mount pictured by just mounting it on your stem at 90d to how it was intended?
