I’ve had mine for about ten years so I think the names have changed, but the equivalent would be the Pro17s. Flat EQ response so it’s the most natural sounding, but you do still get some occlusion

Looking good, attached and fingerboard treated, but I’m waiting for new (old) tuners and need to finish the nut before I can play it.

Nice work! Does the pocket need routing or shimming?
Let me know if you fancy shifting the maple neck.

Ta. I'll probably hang on to it for completeness. I bought it new in 2000 so there's an element of nostalgia attached. Plus once i've sorted the frets i was thinking about using it to built an Esquire. Maybe.
Ordered some "no line" Klusons yesterday and they turned up this morning. Annoyingly though the supplied bushings are the wrong size and I can't fit the tuner shaft in the hole (titter ye not etc). Not sure how that happened as they were packaged up in a sealed bag in the original box. Weird. Anyway. Will have to wait a bit longer to get it operational.

yeah agree with this, the difference between loop and ACS is wild, one cuts sound to safer levels, one lets you actually enjoy what you're heading

Re-amp pedals. The concept is that when recording you can record straight in thru your mixer, then play the recording back through the re-amp pedal into an amp (including any FX pedals) and back in, then you can blend the two signals, so you're getting the good stuff from your amp, but you don't have to isolate it to record, is that right?

This post has given me a migraine! 🤯

Ha ha ha! Yeah I feel slightly the same way.
I think one of these would be pretty useful
"Plug guitar effects directly into the inputs or outputs of the mixing desk with the help of the Radial EXTC-SA interface. This creative studio tool also serves as a reamper, so besides functioning as a kind of effects loop for adding a little tremolo to the vocals, or a touch of vintage reverb to a saxophone, this little box can be set up to send recorded material back through an amp so the sound can be re-tweaked at any time. A balanced 6.35mm TRS jack input and an XLR input come fitted, while the unbalanced Hi-Z output provides an optimal signal for the pedals and the Blend pot on the front panel determines the effect amount."

Yeah, a re-amper just presents a "raw" signal through a hi-Z output as though it just came out of the guitar, so the amp (or effect, or whatever) behaves the same way as if you were playing it live.

Anyone played one of the Inspired by Gibson Epiphone Les Paul Specials? They get fairly decent reviews
-
• #15567
I always found secondhand US Specials to be quite reasonably priced, has that changed now the P90 cat is out of the bag?
That said, quality can be a bit iffy on the 'student' models. My white single cut junior looks like it was shaped by a blind toddler.

US Gibson Les Paul Specials look like they're holding their value well on ebay.
I've always hankered over a TV Yellow

Oh jeez that is nice! 😑😱🫠

Do. It.
I love that website, however...
There is a broken neck repair mark. It has been repaired relatively cleanly.
There is a noticeable ding on the back of the neck around the 2nd fret on the 6th string side.
There are scratches, dents, and peeling paint.
The condition of the neck is fine and in good playing condition. -

Yeah. Just spotted that. £149 shipping makes it a little too rich for me just now
I've found a buyer for my SG, but I'm supposed to be downsizing, not accumulating!
(although I wonder if there's a couple or three hundred quid in it to flip?)

Surely 50% plus used les Paul’s have a neck repair. If you can find one of the faded specials from that time period, they are really great. I have a 2006 LP, a mate has an SG from I think 05, both are just lovely. Had mine from new, starting to show a similar amount of wear to that tv yellow one, though as it’s cherry you can’t really see it
I snapped the headstock off mine on the day of my A level recital, which somewhat added to the stress.

It is a great price, you should probably just fucking buy it. 🤣

You're worse than my pusherman 🤣
Which ones do you use? Have just got a cheap pair for gigs but these look much better (>>>> tinnitus thread for me)
