i like laps, especially if they're not on public roads, makes it easy to manage how much effort you're putting in and being able to respond to what your body is telling you. can imagine someone who needs novelty in their excercise finds it dire tho. i guess it's to what ends you get out of cycling and what makes your dopemine receptors kick in.
feel sorry for peoples who's dopemine receptors only kick in above 35kph tho, or over 100k. tough burden to carry in ones life.
I like the lap thing. To some people the idea of just going around the same route in purgatory but I just enjoy being on the bike. I often wonder how many people who don't like laps or out and backs are happy to sit for hours doing Zwift.
