Time for a regular reminder that all locking mechanisms can be overridden easily. If the bike is valuable enough, some thieves will come well-equipped, and especially if they know where the bike is going to be, i.e. if it's always parked in the same spot outside, whether outside the home or work, or if thieves can get access to communal parking. Park your bike in different spots regularly, ideally where it's busier.

As some cargo bikes have been got back recently, here's wishing for good luck with this one, hoping it's not a well-organised gang that takes it away from London.

Lots of cargo end up in Bucharest Romania within 2 weeks usually.

The locking technique is impeccable, targeted hit by professionals, firmly remind the police this is not an opportunity crime , it's very well organised the whole supply chain of them to move bikes out of the country usually very quickly.

I ordered a tree between 1.25 and 1.5 metres, ended up with one nearly 2.5m. Ride home was a tad sketchy.

Think I’ve used this twice in the past year so it’ll have to go.

Looks like a great idea, but really odd that none of the rewards are for the actual bike at an early bird price etc.

small question for mini max riders, i currently have a 160 rotor in the back with a crappy clarks douple piston brake, i am in need to change the rotor since its done for...should/can i go for 180 to up my brake power or stay on 160 and get a 4 piston brake... (cheaper is better ?)

Yup - I have 4Pot XT front and rear with 203 up front and 180 rear and it’s particularly reassuringly stoppy.
Even managed to send myself over the handlebars once.

It normally is to some degree, not all frames will accept all sizes of rotors. There's normally a good chance you can go up at least one size in rotor though.

203 up front and 180 rear

This is the way to go, biggest you can fit IMO. It should be illegal to spec a 160 rotor on cargo bikes front or rear.
