You're not even supposed to cycle through from Charterhouse street to Long Lane (one probable downside of the redevelopment is that might be enforced in the future). And, even among the carnivores, who would want to spend any time in there? Or maybe it's being up at 7 o'clock in the morning and seeing a few blood stained butchers having a pint nearby. I know I will miss that. It's a lovely building and whatever happens next almost everyone's experience of it will be the same or better.
