I’m confused, is the bike in the pic your previous yeti or the one you intend to buy? those ones like in the pic - i guess from 2012? - were odd/interesting: very tall looking and steep, carbon rear triangle (probably limited tyre clearance) and option for sliding dropouts. Is that your experience? genuinely curious and the above is not meant to be a diss. I debated getting one for a bit but decided i could stretch to it.

Correct, 2012. This was my previous foray, a Yeti Big Top. I bloody loved it. I think it ended up in Eastern Europe, some guy hounded me online for a year and sent his friend down from London to collect it!
As you say, a peculiar beast. Interchangeable drop outs, QR / Thru axle / singlespeed. Carbon bonded rear triangle etc.
Think I kept it for 7 years. Which for me, it's a bike ownership record. The Arc is still in stock... Might pull trigger in the morning. 🫣
Tell me that a Yeti Arc would be a silly buy? I've got the horn for a winter 'get fit' hard tail... 🙈
They're currently a grand in the black Friday sale at approx. 50% off. The great reset is upon the industry.
There is some history with the cuddly fella.
