I get where you're coming from, but cognitive bias will have us all forgetting the five waiting at the light vs. the one that hits the person. The average person will have even less nuance.
I can forgive a clear junction roll through but anything involving an active crossing and/or pedestrians is heresy IMO.
We sadly live in a world where the mainstream media in this country is anti-cyclists. Not running red lights is one small thing we can all (easily) do to not give reasons to car drivers to fuel that dislike.
