Likewise I was really pleased with how they sounded right off the bat but they soon settled in on an even better tone 👍 Enjoy!

I do! I have loads of stuff inherited from a friend's dad, including a fret rocker and some decent quality files.

Anyone interested in a Vintage V100 Les Paul copy for £60?
It's cheap because it has a couple of small issues: a small superficial split in the neck near the headstock which I put a bit of glue in, clamped and painted over with nail varnish (I know) a few years ago, with no subsequent problems); one or two loose screws and the odd tiny dent. I took the scratchplate off and can't find it, although I'm sure I have it somewhere. It probably needs new strings too.
Might make a nice gift for someone just starting out...
It can be picked up in Brockley, SE London.

That's a bargain. I recall these getting good reviews when they first appeared. They look way cooler than Epis imo.
I'll ask my mate who is a guitar teacher and see if any students are on the sniff for an early christmas pressie.

Seems fun so far from the 5 minutes I’ve had with it, actually sounds better than I expected and more in my ballpark (ie, shoegazey) thanks I guess to it being an op amp design? It’s not a muff clone though, I’m pretty sure. It has a tone trim pot on the inside that I will fiddle with at some point as well. Definitely a usable / interesting fuzz, not a gimmick pedal.

Successfully shoehorned the SHO clone into the Squier, it worked first time and everything! Slightly shocked!
Just need to shorten a few wires and tidy it all up a bit then get it over to @Sparky for the setup.
Turns out my trem cavity is 2mm deeper than a 9v so just enough space for a dab of hot glue and some wafer thin foam to secure it.
The boost is loud, like, really really loud compared to the passive signal.

🤦♂️
@Zed I had a mini Strat for a while, I searched high and low for a Hello Kitty version, couldn't find one. Just a scratch I never got to itch, bad case of GAS!

I have been blighted for about 35 years with a crackling input on my Bass.
I send it to a a bloke to fix it and he charges me money, fixes it and gives it back.
I got a crackle the other day and thought..ok I’ll tackle this myself. YouTube told me to roll some sandpaper into a tube, shove it in the Jack and scratch about a bit. This fixed the crackles. I then did it to a couple of crackly old amps.
Have I been paying tens of pounds to people to just do this for 3 decades?

What's y'all top tips for recording Bass guitar? And post recording plugins FX/EQ?
I'm after quite an upfront growling sound akin to the bass in this?

Possibly, if the issue is dirty contacts, unless they’ve been sorting out loose wiring as well.
You can probably cure it permanently by installing a high-quality socket (e.g. Switchcraft, or one of these which I strongly recommend) and making sure it is soldered properly, and the wires are of a decent gauge.

New strings and use a valve head like a selmer bass/treble and the plug it straight into the desk. Use the gain to get the growl or take out one of the valves

New strings is a shout actually
Have you got a fret rocker? You’ll need one.
